How it works
Plan. Train. Progress.
- Plan. Create a reusable template for your training split, or go further and build a multi-week program with progression and deload weeks laid out for you.
- Train. Log each set as you go (weight, reps, and rest), with a rest timer keeping you on pace between sets.
- Progress. Every session is saved in full detail. Mekimeki tracks your volume, estimated 1RM, and personal records over time.
One simple plan
A training log you can keep using.
Mekimeki is a free workout tracker for building routines, logging sessions, reviewing your training history and adding custom exercises. There is no account to create and no ads during training—open the app and start a session.
It also works offline. Training data stays on your iPhone and can be backed up with your own iCloud account.
Choose for the way you train
Different training styles call for different apps
Some apps focus on quick logging; others centre on community features, ready-made programmes or daily guidance. Choose based on how you plan sessions and how much structure you want.
Our comparison pages describe common apps, their published plan information and the situations where they are useful. Start with an app you already know, or browse the full comparison table.
No single app fits everyone. Mekimeki is for people who want a private, straightforward workout log on iPhone, with the essentials available from the start.

Where is my workout data stored?
In the current version, your training data is stored on your own iPhone, with your personal iCloud used for backup. Mekimeki has no accounts and no servers of its own, and the developer cannot read your data.
Does Mekimeki work offline?
Yes, fully. No internet connection is required to log workouts, because your data lives on your device.
What devices does Mekimeki support?
Mekimeki is currently available for iPhone and requires iOS 17.0 or later.
Does Mekimeki calculate my one-rep max?
Yes. Mekimeki automatically calculates your estimated 1RM from logged sets, with a choice of Brzycki, Epley, or hybrid formulas, and flags new personal records the moment you hit them.
Can Mekimeki plan progressive overload for me?
Yes. Mekimeki’s training programs lay out week-by-week load, rep, and set targets from a goal-based progression preset (Steady Build, Muscle Builder, Strength Builder, Mixed Heavy-Light, or a fully custom blueprint), with deload weeks built in.
Can I build my own workout templates?
Yes. You can create reusable templates for any training split (push/pull/legs, full body, upper/lower, or fully custom), edit them anytime, and load one to start a session in seconds.
Does Mekimeki support both kg and lb?
Yes. Mekimeki supports kilograms and pounds with instant unit switching.
Is Mekimeki only for strength training?
No. The exercise library spans strength training, cardio, stretching, powerlifting, and more, and templates work for any kind of session. Strength tools like estimated 1RM sit alongside rep-count progress tracking for bodyweight and cardio work.
Can I add my own exercises?
Yes. Mekimeki ships with a comprehensive exercise library spanning strength training, cardio, stretching, and more, organised by muscle group and category, and you can add custom exercises of your own.
